SCRIPTURE ON "TRUST IN GOD ALONE"
In a world that constantly pulls us toward self-reliance, fleeting solutions, and uncertain voices, the Bible calls us back to a simple, life-changing truth: trust in God alone. Here are passages that declare His faithfulness, expose the emptiness of placing hope in anything or anyone else (Psalm 118:8), and invite you to rest your heart fully in the One who never fails. Whether you are facing uncertainty, fear, or simply longing for deeper peace, these verses are an open door — an invitation to release every other anchor and lean completely on the unchanging God who loves us.
Jeremiah 17:5-8
Thus says the Lord: Cursed is anyone who places his trust in human beings and relies on human strength while his heart turns away from the Lord. Such a person is like a shrub in the desert; when relief comes, he will not be aware of it. He will continue to live in the parched areas of the desert, in an uninhabited salt land.
Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and whose hope is the Lord. They will be like a tree planted by the water that spreads out its roots to the stream. When the heat comes, it does not fear; its leaves stay green. It is not concerned in a year of drought, and it never fails to bear fruit.
Psalm 62
Trust in God Alone
I wait patiently for God to save me; I depend on him alone. He alone protects and saves me; he is my defender, and I shall never be defeated.
How much longer will all of you attack someone who is no stronger than a broken-down fence? You only want to bring him down from his place of honor; you take pleasure in lies. You speak words of blessing, but in your heart, you curse him.
I depend on God alone; I put my hope in him. He alone protects and saves me; he is my defender, and I shall never be defeated. My salvation and honor depend on God; he is my strong protector; he is my shelter.
Trust in God always, my people. Tell him all your troubles, for he is our refuge.
Human beings are all like a puff of breath; great and small alike are worthless. Put them on the scales, and they weigh nothing; they are lighter than a mere breath.
Don’t put your trust in violence; don’t hope to gain anything by robbery; even if your riches increase, don’t depend on them.
More than once I have heard God say that power belongs to him and that his love is constant. You yourself, O Lord, reward everyone according to their deeds.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way.
Isaiah 41:10
Do not be afraid—I am with you! I am your God—let nothing terrify you! I will make you strong and help you; I will protect you and save you.
Psalm 9:9-10
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a place of safety in times of trouble. Those who know you, Lord, will trust you; you do not abandon anyone who comes to you.
John 20:29
Jesus said to him, “Thomas because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are they who have not seen and yet have believed.”
