Divine Mercy Chaplet for Sinners

INTRODUCTION
TO THE DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET FOR SINNERS
The Divine Mercy Chaplet is a Catholic prayer invoking God’s mercy for ALL. It is a prayer of trust, intercession, and atonement. Based on St Faustina Kowalska‘s revelations (as presented in her Diary “DIVINE MERCY IN MY SOUL“), it asks for forgiveness, healing, and grace for our own needs, for the world, for souls in purgatory, and for conversion of souls who are living in darkness, away from the light of Jesus Christ.
In 1935, St Faustina was instructed by Jesus, through visions, to promote God’s unfathomable mercy and teach the Chaplet. This prayer highlights Jesus’ immense love, demonstrated through His Passion and the Cross. It is particularly meaningful at 3 PM, the Hour of Mercy, marking the moment of Christ’s death on Calvary.
The Chaplet became widely recognized throughout the Catholic world, after Pope John Paul II canonized St Faustina in 2000 and established the Feast of Divine Mercy, celebrated on the Sunday after Easter.
“There is nothing”, said Pope John Paul II, “that man needs more than Divine Mercy—that love, which is benevolent, which is compassionate, which raises man above his weakness to the infinite heights of the holiness of God.”
In this website we promote an intense holy obsession for praying for Souls in Purgatory. We encourage faithful Catholics to pick ONE holy obsession and participate in God’s mercy and pray the chaplet for that intention everyday. These souls are very dear to the Lord.
The Divine Mercy Intention for this Chaplet is ALL MANKIND, ESPECIALLY ALL SINNERS.
This Divine Mercy Chaplet for All Mankind, especially all Sinners has been adapted (without changing the original words and structure found the St Faustina’s Diary: 474-476) from the 1st day of the Divine Mercy Novena.
